While the structure of Major League Baseball has changed over time, one thing that remains the same is the pursuit of a World Series championship. Since the World Series was first played in 1903, all of the original Major League franchises (16 of them) have won at least twice. Since the league’s expansion beginning in 1961, only half of the additional teams can say the same.

The majority of World Series wins by team is pretty average throughout with just a couple teams raking in the vast majority of the total. Here are each of the Major League Baseball teams ranked by number of World Series wins under their belts.
