When you find a career you love, you never work a day in your life. Well, that’s not entirely true. What I do is my dream job, and I love it. However, that does not mean I don’t feel the stress of my work. I feel the stress when I have a sick child who wants to be held all day long and articles that are due the following day. I feel the stress when I receive a hate letter in my inbox from someone who calls me a racist jerk and tells me I deserve to die because I am not a democrat and I did not vote for Barack Obama.
I feel the stress when someone tells me I’m a terrible mother after I open up my heart and my life to millions of strangers and someone disagrees with the fact that I let my kids eat donuts for breakfast on Fridays if we can all get ready and out the door without any major meltdowns all week long.
However, my job is nowhere near as stressful as the jobs of others, and for that I am thankful. If you are like me and you prefer a low-stress, low-maintenance career that doesn’t leave you feeling as if you live with a perpetual headache and empty heart, you might want to consider one of these careers. According to Forbes, they are the least stressful careers of 2015.
